It is truly odorless and odorless

I have a problem with odors and fragrances, whether natural or artificial. Not every scent or scent, but quite a few, which is why I prefer unscented shampoos, conditioners, and soaps when I can find them. If I can't, I'll have to buy and try, including "unscented" and "unscented" options. This is because manufacturers of unflavored and fragrance-free products often play with semantics and define unflavored as not adding anything just to provide a pleasant sensation or something similar. According to the manufacturer, when they say the product usually has an odor, it is because one of the main ingredients has a natural odor, not an artificial one that is an unwanted by-product of the product. Everything is fine unless the person using it has a problem with that particular smell. My reaction to some smells and scents is that I get dizzy migraines within seconds of exposure up to 20 minutes after exposure. I can't be near a cedar for more than 20-30 minutes without a reaction which makes driving through the woods a bit of an adventure. There are several floral scents that have a similar effect, lavender being one of them. So I'm always wary of anything advertised as scented and unscented. Stonybrook Shampoo and Conditioner are fragrance and fragrance free. None of those that have "a faint pleasant scent, barely perceptible". For some of us, that "faint" scent can make life very miserable. As is often mentioned with many of these types of shampoos and conditioners, it takes more shampoo to get a decent lather. After rinsing, the hair appeared to be tangled. This happens to some degree with many shampoos I've used over the years, but this one was different. I was hoping the conditioner would detangle my hair and it did, but it took way longer than I expected and barely worked. I have very fine hair that breaks easily so the conditioner should really detangle my hair. After drying, the hair became a bit dry and stiff. This can be normal for owners of thicker and greasy hair. I don't know because I don't have it. It wasn't so bad that I wouldn't continue using it unless I could find another shampoo and conditioner, but I did find another. Verdict: This shampoo and conditioner is fragrance-free and fragrance-free. . I had my doubts because it says Stonybrook Botanical Fragrance Free, unscented shampoo and conditioner. The "botanical" part bothered me. This will likely work for someone with thicker, stronger hair. Just didn't work for me. I give it 5 stars for being scented and fragrance free and 3 stars for making my hair dry and rough, so 4 stars on average.
