What a POWERED USB hub counts for!

I've had endless problems with my Macbook and its missing USB ports. I've had several unpowered USB hubs, but lag and intermittent performance have made my life unbearable. I had a Bamboo tablet and wireless mouse, along with a wired headset and two external monitors. The Macbook could handle it all, but due to the added requirement of two external monitors, the Macbook's single USB port, through which all this data traveled, choked the entire system. I'd only heard of "powered USB hubs" a few times and they seemed like a silly idea (as if I actually know anything about computers after almost 4 decades). Wow, I was wrong. I bought it because it was cheap and had so many positive reviews. I realized immediately (after 5 minutes of testing) that this is EXACTLY what I need. Well, as for the brand (Sabrent). never heard of them. I like the buttons to disable each USB port individually. I have a tablet connected but turned it off (except when using it) by pressing the button on top of this hub. This prevents the Macbook trackpad or external Bluetooth mouse from colliding with the graphics tablet (in case I accidentally wave my hand over the graphics tablet). I think I can have two mics, or any two or three mics, and just turn on the port of the one I want to use. With on/off buttons for each port, you can really get creative with what you want to do with it. I actually read in the manual that you can daisy chain 100+ ports (25+ hubs) if you have an incredibly large number of USB devices that you want instant access to. I'm glad I don't have a USB hub that doesn't allow me to turn ports off or on instantly. I have seen the light and feel compelled to commend this wonderful invention. I also feel a bit stupid to even question the awesomeness of a powered USB hub. Anyhow, I hope this helps. Thank you for reading.
