I don't think everyone will struggle spending that much on ONE kitchen utensil, but I've been working with cheap plastic utensils for a number of years and I need a really good spatula. I finally gave up and bought this one. I fully expected this to be an item that will be with me for the rest of my life. I was expecting it to be a solid shaft through the grip, my bad. My first impression when I took it out of the box was that it was strong and heavy, I hand washed it but then I was disappointed when I used it for the first time. It moved on a hinge in the handle, the object is so heavy that it literally falls off with every twist of the spatula, then I noticed it fell apart on the handle!
