When I first opened the box I noticed all the parts were chipped or scratched. If I put this on my truck with the intention of making it look good I would be seriously upset. Because of the price and the fact that I will only use it to transport kayaks every now and then, I still give it 4 stars. Separately, I would like to point out that I installed it on a 2016 Toyota Tundra with a retractable handrail. I didn't want to drill holes in my truck and found that the clamps others were using wouldn't work. My setup: Using 3 1/2" zinc plated screws and 7 1/4" clothesline hooks I was able to create a system that does an incredible job of attaching the rack, and then when I remove it I can reattach the caps without having to Damage. to my truck.
