I understand there is some controversy about throwing tea bags into a kettle to make iced tea, but that's exactly what I do and I love it. Fill the kettle, throw in 3-4 regular teabags, turn it on and leave it alone. Once it boils and then cools a bit, remove the tea bags, fill the rest of the kettle with ice or cold water and you're good to go! I had a special machine for making iced tea, but it takes up so much space that the pot doesn't fit in the dishwasher. just a general pain. Now you CANNOT put this kettle in the dishwasher either, but the small size and how easy it is for me to pack everything in the fridge makes it worth hand washing the kettle. (It doesn't actually need to be brushed or anything since it's just tea.)
