I have liked manual lenses for a year and a half. I've tried almost everything there is for Fuji cameras. 7artisans 35/1.4 is pretty special. It is realistic, but at the same time has a cinematic quality. And, perhaps most notably, it does an excellent job both night and day. It's subtle, subtle and sensitive enough to capture the ongoing duel between shadow and light and how colors change depending on where they stand in this power struggle. For the first time I can say that I love the 35mm lens. Not my favorite focal length. But with this lens, for the first time I understand why so many people are excited about it. This lens is worth considering, especially if you enjoy taking portraits. The human form and gesture shine through this lens.
