This product came packaged as advertised and with all the parts needed to convert an internal SATA hard drive to external. Easy Installation: Just slide open the top of the device, insert the hard drive and press to secure the connector. Replace the top and if the drive is more permanent, install the 4 screws on the bottom to secure the drive. If you're using it to temporarily move files to or from a hard drive and you need the ease of swapping hard drives, you may not want to use screws. Just make sure you place the disc on your desktop and keep movement to a minimum. Connect the USB cable and power adapter and turn on the drive. It should boot up and be recognized by your system. I used this drive on Win10. One thing I noticed was that when I plugged a drive into a USB 2.0 port, it would occasionally drop the connection. I don't know why, but when I plugged it into a USB 3.0 port, it didn't lose connection when transferring large files. Overall this is a good product and works as intended.
