We're from South Florida and we're not used to the cold. My child traveled to Washington for the start of winter and felt very warm and comfortable in this sweater as a second layer. It can be difficult for a child to zip up, but after initial frustration, they were able to figure it out. Not very stylish, but "taste is relative".
