Review on Canon PowerShot ELPH 160 (White) by Kyle Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Traveled to near space and back, spent 2 months in the elements, passed the harvester and we still have our photos

You may think I'm kidding, but I'm completely serious . We bought four of these cameras to attach to two of our space balloons to capture the moon's shadow on Earth during a solar eclipse. (Some heaters were required to allow them to operate at low temperatures.) These chambers rose to altitudes of up to 90,000 feet. We lost the GPS signal on the balloons and were only able to recover one. We received some spectacular images from these cameras and thought the second ball was lost. Weeks pass and a farmer in rural Kentucky finds a payload from our second balloon driving over his combine. The camera was (predictably) damaged, but still protected the SD card enough for us to keep our shots safe and sound. We asked a lot more from this camera than ever before and it didn't disappoint. Thumbs up from the entire 2017 MERLAB Totaliteam balloon mission team.
