Finding a heater that will maintain a constant temperature in small tanks has been an uphill battle! I put this heater in an 8 gallon tank that sits on my desk at work. The office heats up to 74°C during the day and 55°C at night and on weekends. To keep my rooster happy, I want the temperature in the aquarium to be between 78 and 80 degrees at all times. With my old heater I could not stabilize the temperature. I set this new heater to 79 degrees and even as the room temperature changed my tank stayed within 0.5 degrees of the set temperature. Installation and programming were easy, and its small size made it easy to hide behind plants. It also costs less than the brand name heater I've used before. I almost didn't buy it based on the many reviews but I'm so glad I took the chance!
