Great alternative to chemical herbicides. While there is a lot of talk in the press about the safety of glyphosate and there are undoubtedly situations where herbicides are needed, I am very reluctant to use them. The only alternative I had before was to physically remove weeds from the yard and garden. It became a huge task when I stumbled upon a weed burner. I use my grill's LPG tank, put it in my shopping cart and lug it around the garden to pull weeds. It takes a few days to kill the weeds but it works. I found I sometimes had to stomp on red-hot wood chips or leaves, but didn't feel it was a fire hazard. I will not use it in times of high fire risk.
