For what this little thing does, nothing compares. You can get a larger DAC/amp or another type of USB DAC, but they range from $30 to $100. That's all you really need for stereo sound in games. Most games don't play true 5.1 or 7.1 audio anyway, so all those little dongles that say 7.1 only play audio, similar to Windows audio virtualization. This can be good or bad depending on your needs. Simply put, this is a great product. My onboard HyperX "7.1" USB dongle was wearing out, so I needed something to boost the sound after realizing that plugging directly into the mobo wasn't enough. It works out. It is of high quality and reproduces amplified sound without cleaning or virtualizing it. Tip: When I plugged the USB port directly into the computer, I sometimes heard a buzzing sound for a minute and then it went away. I figured it was some kind of interference and moved it to a USB 3.0/1 powered switch a few feet from my computer, no more random hum, it's really nice.
