I chose this valve because it seemed like the best replacement valve available from Revain. I am leaving 5 stars because it looks like it could be. I don't know because I haven't tried it yet. This is because pre-2016 Osprey valve bodies are not standard sized and will not fit standard replacement valves. I bought this to replace the valve on my old Osprey valve body. It turned out that the Osprey had used a smaller than stock tube and I didn't know about this until after it shipped. The outer diameter of the J. carp valve was 9 mm, as described. The hose expands and contracts when connected (see blue valve in the picture). The OD of the old Osprey is 5/16 inch which is closer to 8mm. J. Karp is not to blame for anything. I will buy a new hydraulic pack with standard hose and attach this valve as a replacement.
