I tried many vegan protein powders in addition to many whey protein powders before switching to a plant based diet. This is by far the best tasting vegan protein powder I've ever tried. In a way, I feel guilty for eating something so sweet after months of tasteless smoothies! There is a small amount of acceptable sand, but I can't tell if it's my flaxseed powder that I add to my drinks or protein. I had to pour the cocktail from the small Nutribullet glass into a large glass and add more water and an extra ice cube to boost the sweetness because it was really sweet to me. Of course, this can also be due to the fact that I haven't eaten any sugar for months, apart from fruit! However, for lunch with other vegan powders I usually use the same amount for all my shake sizes and it doesn't affect the taste so this stuff is REALLY sweet! Again, a big improvement on the flavor factor, but sometimes I just don't want a "sweet" drink, so I still use my rice-based soft powders for those times. I would advise getting a smaller jar before investing in a larger jar. I can't tell you how many protein powders we've bought over the years and only eaten a small amount before realizing they aren't right for us. So far I haven't had any stomach problems. I only gave him a 4 because I can't understand how cute he is.
