Haven't used it for fruit yet but I've tried it specifically for ice cream and my granddaughter liked the little balls. Although I don't use it for cookie dough, it makes perfectly sized cookies when I use it for that purpose. Regardless of use, it was immediately clear to me that this is a quality set. I like the non-slip handles as they are easy to hold and the stainless steel exterior. Due to its small size, the shovel is easy to clean. In use, the shovel performed as it should without bending or folding. It was durable and easy to use. The set also includes 3 other gadgets including 2 cute little miniature forks that my husband has used before with his seafood.
