Poor quality pouches

This brand was my second purchase of 5 mil laminating pouches. My first purchases were Apache 5 mil packs. If I hadn't tried a different brand first (particularly one that was fantastic) I might not have been so shocked at the difference in quality. About once a week I laminate school supplies (make word cards, make crafts for kids, etc.). The first thing I don't like about Fellowes bags is that they have their brand name all over the bag. So most of the stuff I've laminated can read the Fellowes brand name if tilted at a certain angle. The Apache packages were transparent and left no trace on what I laminated. True, it's faint and only visible when tilted under the light, but I still don't want to read their brand name on the things I laminate. The second big problem is that if you bend the item to be laminated, the lamination will come loose. For example, my kids love to paint the people and animals that are cut out and then we laminate them into a kind of marionette. We bend them in a circle and fasten the ends together to make figures that they can play with. Never had a problem with Apache branding. With Fellowes, the lamination would peel off every time we folded an image. I bought the Fellowes brand because 150 packs seemed like a good price but now I see that given the poor quality this is another good example of "you get what you pay for".
