Review on Joy Factory MagConnect Universal MMX107 by Carlos Whitfield

I love The Joy Factory products! It's only one record now and the magic is really how well it works with the magconnect clips you use these things with, but I bought four of these and they all work great. I cleaned the surfaces with the included alcohol pad and placed a full 64-ounce bottle of ketchup face down on the tablets for the full 72 hours. Want to make sure it doesn't come off! I then tested it on a Magconnect adapter (a precision tightened screw) completely upside down over my bed to see if the tablet had detached from the platter and stayed on. I later had to send it in for a replacement due to a problem with my tablet, which required the plate to be removed. The recommended solution didn't work; We used WD-40 instead and the sticky part melted easily. You're left with a bare slab; Well on another cheaper tablet we glued it to the back of this tablet and that works great too. I'm pretty sure none of them will come loose. In general they are wonderful. 3M lasts great if you give it the proper time to install. Then simply buy one or more magconnect clamps and you're done. So far I've used one on my expensive $700 Surface 4, my much more expensive $100 Wal-Mart SmarTab, and two GeChic 1303i tablet monitors. They have just enough strength to ensure it doesn't accidentally come loose, although you can tighten a precision screw on the Magconnect adapter to secure it so you're set. SURFACE PRO INSTALLATION NOTE: I installed this on my Surface 4. It's barely the right length. So if you position it correctly on top, you can attach one of these to the Surface 4 without a case and still use the stand. Before we did this we used a dremel and cut a small hole in the top to make sure the camera and microphone weren't obstructed. The plate is still holding up well.
