Review on πŸ”’ Tow Ready 63251 Fifth Wheel King Pin Lock: Ultimate Security for Your RV Fifth Wheel! by Jason Pinkney

Doesn't fit my kingpin

Seems to be a quality product with a great lock (used to have locks) that is easy to put on and take off. In addition, with good paint quality, it seems to be rust resistant. Received this item quickly, tried it on a fifth wheel pin and it didn't fit. We have a five year old Grand Design with a factory King Pin. The lock is the thickest at a millimeter (vertical fit) and will not engage even when hit with a hammer. I'm trying to sand down one side of the U (both edges) to keep it going. The metal is very hard and I haven't tried it yet but I want it to work. If it slips, I will rust the edges of the earth and use it. Because of the cost I don't want to return it and just try another one. It seems that the manufacturer has taken care of a little play and that it will fit all of Fiver's standard kingpins? A bit frustrating that it doesn't fit at first!
