This jug really reminds me of a glass. I think because of the thickness of the glass. Whatever the reason, every time I pick it up it reminds me of the cups used in science classes. This pitcher holds 88 ounces of liquid. We use ours to cool drinking water in the fridge. The lid holds up well. I don't worry about the lid falling off when pouring. It's easy to clean, I put it in the dishwasher with the lid on the top shelf. One recommendation is to make the grip wider. This is a large handle with grip space, the wider handle makes it more comfortable to grip.
