These little sweater embellishments are cute and easy to make. but the floss (the thread you embroider with) is terrible! This is not a six thread like DMC or Anchor. This is a poor quality five strand thread that breaks and is almost impossible to thread through a small needle as it wears out a lot. So my suggestion is for those making this kit. If you have DMC or Anchor threads in your stash, use them! I also use small beads instead of French knots and they add a bit of shine and are much more even and faster than billion knots. I also ordered six more ugly sweater embellishments from Bucilla here on Revain. and their thread is definitely top quality DMC. Your kit also includes beads with a good beading needle AND sequins. The only downside to the Bucilla kit is that you have to cut the parts yourself. They don't come pre-cut but that suits me as I don't consider it a marathon. BUT . I will ONLY be cutting the pieces for the sweater I want to make at the time, not all the pieces at once because I think that would be a recipe for disaster. I would probably mix them all up or lose some parts if I did. So one step at a time will do me good. And to end this review. Remember social distancing, don't forget to wear a mask if needed and wash your hands with soap and hot water now as they may have coronavirus-19!
