Works. I have two old Dell monitors with DVI and a brand new HP Elitebook with an HDMI and USB-C. One monitor got a DVI-HDMI adapter and the other got this DVI-USB-C adapter. Now I have two monitors on my laptop. Combine that with a true wireless bluetooth keyboard and mouse and I have a very inexpensive workaround to avoid paying $300 for an HP dock. Screen quality is as good as an HP docking station. There are a lot of cables behind the laptop, but all monitors work and I have full functionality with very little fiddling. The only thing I noticed is that I have to connect it to the network before turning on the laptop, or the quality of the screen. Poor. If the laptop is off when I plug it in and it boots up already plugged in, you're done. I don't know if the problem is with the adapter or the computer.
