Repaired my 2001 Elantra

2001 Hyundai Elantra GLS. I had a "Failed to fill tank" situation with a check engine light. After pulling the codes and doing some research, I determined that it was some sort of glitch in the vapor system. I hate "throw parts at it" but this device feels right. Before ordering I removed an old part and did a 12v test and noticed that the piston doesn't move at all when energized. I had some lumps of coal in my larger line that goes to the gas tank. But not much. The repair itself was pretty easy. 12mm socket, long extension and pliers for squeezing clamps on rubber hoses. Please note: DO NOT throw away the old one until you have received this one. There is a piece of rubber on one of the round entrances that is not included. The old one was in good condition, so just use it (it will most likely be in good condition). But apart from a piece of rubber that needs to be transferred from the old item to the new one, this item has everything you need. It was an easy fix. There can be several reasons why you are getting Can't Gas Syndrome or checking the engine light with vaping related codes. Just to clarify, this part is located next to the rear wheel on the driver's side under the trunk area. . Next to the charcoal canister. (This is on my 2001 Elantra) Anyway, now I can test drive the car! This renovation was only completed yesterday so I can't comment on the durability.
