Simply brilliant - Travel & To-Go drinkware

I bought one of these in 2016 and use it every day. I recently bought a second one when I work in an office away from home. This product couldn't be better. I don't say that about many things. If you want your standard soda can to stay cold, this is great. It is a double-walled steel container. Consider it the best camping thermos you've ever used. Because that's basically what it's about. The vacuum between two walls is an incredible insulator. I bet most of the heat comes from the open top, not the sides or bottom of the can. My usage goes like this. I drink diet soda all day. I pop one in and unscrew the lid. This has a flexible rubber air seal to prevent air from sliding down the sides of the jar. And doesn't rattle. Once I open the jar I can feed him for an hour or more. I estimate my soda stays cold for at least an hour. Not icy. Of course it warms you up. But cold enough to retain fizz and flavor. It is usually below room temperature until the last sip. I don't think I've ever dropped it on a hard surface before. I think if I did it might wrinkle a lot. Looking at it now I don't see any scratches or dents. I think I could use this beast as a weapon if I had to. I've used plastic with foam and a few other types of can coolers in the past. None of them worked as well as this one. Yes, it costs more, but to me it's totally worth the cost. I wish Yeti would try to integrate a small thermoelectric cell into one of these to keep my soda cool indefinitely. Excellent insulation and a tiny thermopile would be the perfect combination. Just give me a charging pad that I can plug into a USB port or wall outlet. When I place the Yeti on the charging pad, the thermopile kicks in. The outer layer of steel is heated. The inner layer is cooled. Voila. The silly collectible jar they contain is a waste of material. I wonder if most people throw it away like me? Save me a buck or two. skip it A small quirk for an otherwise incredible product.
