Review on ๐ŸŽจ Faber-Castel Albrecht Durer Watercolor Pencils in A Tin (24 Pack) - Assorted Colors: A Must-have for Artists by Kelsey Brown

Ideal for travel magazines. Worth the cost for artists of all skill levels

These watercolor pencils contain vibrant pigments that are completely water soluble. I would recommend these to both beginners and intermediate artists because the colors are so vibrant that they can be mixed with neutrals and pastels and actually look like watercolors when wet. The fine point is great for detail and mixed media work, while multiple layers let you decide how much to dilute and spread the pigment. A small set of these is more dynamic than a large set of smaller watercolor pencils, and you can place your finished work behind glass and be sure it will last. You just can't get the same colors with other products. I also use them for sketching before applying liquid watercolor paint. Because they completely dissolve, your sketch doesn't need to be visible in the final product. Dipping a watercolor pencil in water allows for sharp lines that are less soluble, which is great for texture. My students love them as a transition from drawing to painting. Pair them with a decent sketchbook like the Bee Paper Super Deluxe 11" x 14" Sketchbook or the Stillman & Birn Epsilon Series 6" x 8" Wirebound Sketchbooks 50 Sheets and a set of Pentel Arts Aquash Water Brush Nozzles Assorted Tips, 3-Pack -Pack (FRHBFMBP3) and you have a great way to create color drawings and small paintings on the spot without the mess. Worth the cost.
