Bright and beautiful better than the competition.

Cool, just like my polychromy. I like them even better than the W&Ns I bought at the same time. They are lighter and more soluble in water. W&N generally doesn't dissolve completely, which is great if that's what you prefer and want to be able to see your drawing even after adding water.

Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

New but no breakage and great colors

Easy to apply wet or dry. I didn't have a breakdown. I think it's easy to mix colors and I get the color saturation I want even with light colors. I can't compare this to other products but they work well for me. The ability to mix colors is a huge plus. I use them with water brushes.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Watercolor Pencils - Art Supply, Artist & Craft Supplies

Now I have two sets of Faber Castell pencils and I've finally found what I wanted in colored pencils! The colors are all beautiful, there are no blurry or "faded" tones like other brands. Watercolor pencils will not come off or leave bumps, making them easy to use. They may seem expensive, but they prove that "you get what you pay for".

  • An Absolute Legend

Beautiful Art Tools

Wonderful creamy leads and rich colors make these pencils the perfect choice for anyone serious about watercolor pencils. The colors are more muted than Derwent Inktense Pencils (another great product by the way), but the marks made can be moved more than once with water, so they serve a slightly different purpose. The combination of these two sets would be the perfect collection any watercolourist could wish for.

Excellent quality. Best in Art Supplies

My tin was well packed but still kind of dented. I don't usually have this problem on Amazon, but the pencils didn't break, so everything was fine in the end. I bought these pens to redraw doll faces and they work really well when I dip them in a little water to create a watercolor effect. I would say these pencils are value for money and you won't get this quality with cheap art supplies. The pens are very pigmented and easy to apply.

Pros
  • Pencils
Cons
  • Discontinued

I used Prismacolor watercolor pencils and really wasn't happy with them. I watched a video on the Owings Art YouTube channel and realized that Prismacolor pencils are not professional grade watercolor pencils. Marty Owings said that when we have doubts about the watercolor pencils we have in our stash, we should look for the brush icon on the pencil. The brush icon indicates that the watercolor pencil is professional quality. I remember having to use a harder synthetic brush to spread the…

Pros
  • Drawing
Cons
  • Excessive price

These watercolor pencils contain vibrant pigments that are completely water soluble. I would recommend these to both beginners and intermediate artists because the colors are so vibrant that they can be mixed with neutrals and pastels and actually look like watercolors when wet. The fine point is great for detail and mixed media work, while multiple layers let you decide how much to dilute and spread the pigment. A small set of these is more dynamic than a large set of smaller watercolor…
