The lens has a solid construction, pleasant weight and dimensions. It can be used as normal on crop cameras, since its focal length value almost exactly matches the sensor diagonal value. It should be noted here that with its f / 2.8, but the crop, it already has a fairly large depth of field and I would like to have either f / 1.8 or f / 2.0, but this is still a landscape painter to a greater extent and is designed for a full frame. On the 5D Mark III, he behaves in the most excellent way. Didn't do the alignment. When shooting landscapes, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. The sharpness characteristics are very high, practically stretching across the entire field, only in the very corners rolling down to acceptable, but still quite good (only if you start testing for uniformity, then you will see what I wrote about outside the brackets. Aesthetes can simply crop to approximate 30 mm and then if they print 30x45 cm or more). I specifically bought this particular lens, and not the EF 24 / 2.8 IS USM, since the latter blurs the corners a little and with large print formats you still have to do some cropping up to the conditional 26-28 mm. I would recommend it first of all to landscape lovers and those who want to have a normal lens on a crop camera with excellent sharpness and not for such a lot of money.
