Review on Vitamix Silver Wet Blade ๐Ÿ”ช Assembly: High-Quality Blender Part for Optimal Blending by Mauricio Woodard

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Original but USED and dull

Pros: - Light Vitamix knife - fits my 5200 model Cons: - NOT sharp. As dull as my own blade - squeaks when twisted/turned; makes more noise than my 8 year old knife which I replaced due to its dullness. Although clean, there are signs of wear. (Scratches, gouges, etc.) It became clear that while this is an original Vitamix blade, it is most likely a used blade that was cleaned and polished and then resold. It had obviously been thoroughly cleaned because the oil that stops it from squeaking wasn't there. That's not new. When I bought my Vitamix over 7 years ago, this blade would cut your finger if you even pointed it wrong (figuratively, of course). This replacement blade was not sharp at all. I could easily grab his blades from either end. I see a thin flat surface along the edge of the blade's cutting end. So you get what you pay for. Either buy it brand new from Vitamix (spend more than $100) or sharpen your old blade. what I finally had to do.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Very expensive
