Review on Yosoo 4X Tyre Valve Extension for Trucks & Buses, Dual Flexible 140mm Adapter with 2pcs Clamps by Mark Crawford

This tire extension has made the impossible possible

There must be an engineer out there who could design an easily accessible tire valve for bikes with large disc brakes. I have found that the dual head air chucks provided by most service stations with their air pumps cannot be maneuvered around a motorcycle disc brake to gain access to a tire valve. I bought this valve extension kit because it offers multiple forms of extension. When tested, some didn't specify the correct angle and distance for accessing the valve with a double-headed air chuck, others did. I am grateful for that. The extension cord was screwed on by hand without tools, no air leakage occurred. Inflating a tire is a multi-step process. Remove valve cap - screw on valve extension - fill tire with air - remove extension - screw on valve cap. I've read online that some extension users leave the extension on the tire valve for future inflation, but then complain that after riding with the extension the extension has come loose causing the tire to deflate, or has fallen off completely and been lost is. I don't want to risk driving with a tire extension. I always delete. Inflating a motorcycle tire is still uncomfortable, but at least it's possible now. The best solution for service stations would be to install a ball valve (without an extension) at the end of the flexible air hose, as was the case before the switch to a double stem valve.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen
