Use this cable to replace your VGA to HDMI cable. My setup is to have a VGA 9old KVM switch to connect to multiple laptops (4) and share two monitors with HDMI input only (one monitor is controlled by the HDMI switch). With the original VGA to HDMI cable, the monitor often loses its full 1920x1080 resolution and perceives the monitor as a TV (black bars on the left and right sides of the monitor). This cable solves the problem; Now I'm full 1920x1080 all the time when spinning connected laptops.
