I've wanted this rug for a long time but it's usually quite expensive. I thought it was a great price and despite some negative reviews I decided to give it a try anyway. I'm very glad I did. It gave my bathroom a really nice earthy, natural look. I've seen other people have issues with ink peeling off or having an odd smell. Here's what I did and it worked. Firstly, to kill any germs or virus, I left it in the car for two days. Then I took off the plastic wrapping and left it in the car for another day. Then I folded it up again like in a bag and left it overnight again. And finally, I took it out of the car, rolled it out, and put it on the swing set in the backyard to air it out for about 4 hours. And it's great! It doesn't have a strong odor, the ink stayed in place and whatever bit of funkyness it had was completely gone. expected. I haven't had to clean it yet and to be honest it sucks. Because I did my research before buying and jute rugs are usually cleaned at home and large stains should be cleaned professionally. Professional cleaning will likely cost more, just buy a new one. Anyway, I like it and would buy it again!
