Big and Heavy: Internals

This heatsink looks well made. It's heavy so I'm still worried that one day it will start sagging before my motherboard breaks. I've been using it for 1.5 years now and no problems. The included mounts appear to be very well constructed. I connected it carefully and checked the instructions many times to be sure. After you do this fixes it very well. I think the engineers on this cooler did a good job. Since this thing is so heavy, it seems natural that you'd need to get to the bottom of the motherboard to install some sort of support for that weight. It would be a hassle if you were to upgrade, but building a computer from scratch was pretty easy. The pace seems ok. I really have nothing to compare. It's funny to see something that heavy connected to my motherboard. My pace doesn't seem to have changed in a year and a half, so this might be a sign that he's not getting off the mobo.
