Used these sanding pads on a car that has been repainted as a poor clear coat was peeling and the paint was being exposed to the point where it was degrading exposing bare metal. Sandpaper holds up well for a while and, with the right grit, cuts through clear paint and rust effectively. It also smoothes and removes sanding marks with finer abrasives. Stickiness is a different story, some discs stick like they should while others don't stick for a while or in some cases don't stick at all. Fortunately, after ordering a set of ten grains of each size, I have enough to complete my project, but some may not be so lucky. If you think you need ten of a particular abrasive, you can pay the extra money and get something better, like the 3M varieties, but if you only need a couple of discs you'll probably be happy with that, as some are drives just as good as any other brand, just for small projects and weekend users. You seem to get what you pay for.
