Poor video quality, good for car electronics

Too bad I didn't check the video quality before hooking it up to my car. I saw a review on YouTube and the quality of the "unbiased test" video was much better. hahaha yes i was scammed Number plates are not readable even in bright sunlight. Pixelation abounds. What isn't pixelated is smoothed out by an algorithm, making it look like a cartoon. I personally don't see how they will fix this with a software release. One of the main reasons for a higher resolution camera is the ability to read license plates. My $50 action camera does a better job of capturing license plates. The video transfer rate from the camera over Wi-Fi to my OnePlus phone is very slow. It takes about 2 minutes to transfer a 1-minute, 148MB video clip. True, it may be a problem with the phone. But it takes me about a minute to transfer 500mb to my phone over my home wifi. The shock sensitivity settings on the camera don't seem to matter. If I'm doing high G's in a corner or driving across train tracks, the camera will think I've been hit no matter what settings are on. Pay more for a circular polarizer? There's no point in worrying when the video quality is that bad. I'm trying to decide if I want to disassemble my car to remove all the wiring so I can return it for a refund. Or wait and see if they can actually fix it with firmware.
