I've been a software developer for 15 years and haven't had any issues with camera settings or anything - I'm pretty sure the settings are correct too. I contacted Thinkware for a solution and after receiving a few useless suggestions that didn't work, I was told that fixing image noise is a top priority for their next firmware release. Someone took the wrong side of a divided freeway and came straight at me (missed) and this camera couldn't capture it. The first incident file (2019_12_22_18_42_19_F) starts at 6:42:19 and is recorded for 15 seconds and ends at 18:42:34. Towards the end of this video you can see the car turn and pull away on my side of the road. The second incident file (2019_12_22_18_42_43_F) starts at 18:42:43 and has a duration of 1 minute. There is a 9 second gap between them when nothing is being recorded.

I received this product a few months ago and finally decided to watch the video files. While the app offers some quality on the phone, it didn't show how blurry the image on the front camera was. I really like this camera in general, except that 3-4 times a week I get the command "MEMORY CARD REQUIRED" when I start the car in the morning. In most cases, 2-3 formats are required before recording begins, which can take several minutes. It will not install on your phone without a WiFi connection.
