I've had the monitor for a few weeks now and it works perfectly. I use it as a computer monitor. I don't watch movies on it and I didn't use the built-in speakers. My monitor arrived with no dead or stuck pixels. Revain ships the monitor in the original Asus packaging. The courier left it on my doorstep. I'm glad nobody saw him there and ran away with him. Attaching the base to the monitor is very easy and requires no tools. The base is safe and stable enough. The monitor screen has a matte finish, but the frame around the monitor is glossy on the outside. Thankfully, the bezel is thin and unobtrusive. A (fortunately dark) LED indicates the status of the monitor. Overall, I like the simple, unobtrusive style of the monitor. I looked at monitors from various manufacturers before deciding on this monitor and many have unnecessarily cheap looking parts. For example, a silver stripe at the bottom of a Dell monitor, and a bright LED and lots of clear plastic around the edges of a Samsung monitor. This monitor has various display modes. Color balance and contrast vary greatly in each mode. sRGB and Standard modes are best suited for general desktop use. I originally used sRGB mode, but the monitor was too bright in my relatively dimly lit room. There doesn't seem to be a way to adjust things like brightness and contrast other than in standard mode (but I may be missing something). Regardless, the Standard mode offers a variety of settings, and I was able to quickly customize the display to my liking. The control buttons at the bottom of the monitor are no more or less intuitive than other monitors I've used in the past. The viewing angle is as good as other monitors in this price range that I've tested. I've owned and used several LCD monitors over the years and I don't think this monitor ghosts more than others. There may be pricier monitors that don't suffer from ghosting, but I suspect this monitor is as good as others in its price range. This is a good monitor. Regarding ghosting, I have watched some YouTube videos showing the "ghosting issue" with this monitor. In fact, the ghosting was more pronounced when I was viewing these videos on my old HP LCD monitor than when I was viewing them on my new Asus monitor. I assume my old monitor (which was very expensive when I bought it) had more ghosting issues than this monitor. Don't dwell on these things. For the price this looks like a very good monitor and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.
