Review on Pelletized Activated Carbon Professional Grade by Shawna Lamb

Like many others, I spent a fortune each month replacing the Bioburb filters as recommended by the company. Now I've read a lot of helpful reviews and blogs etc about proper tank maintenance and I think I've cracked it. Now I change 1/4-1/3 water every two months. On my second water change (so once a month) I also rinse the existing Biorb filter "sponge" in the removed water to reuse and replace the activated carbon. I flush the activated carbon before installing the filter. My aquarium is sparkling and is health checked monthly. After performing the above procedure, it always tested correctly. For everyone interested in other white particles in the purchased Biorb filter - they are not needed for the general condition of the aquarium. Not sure any charcoal will be as good, but I purchased these and am very happy with the results.
