I love that these are moisture-proof and will not rust like some of the stainless steel shakers do (around the pour holes). I really like that the holes are identical on each shaker, because I am using mine both for salt. Hopefully this will cut down on the "Where's the salt shaker?" comments at the dinner table; now there's a shaker for by the microwave and one for the table. They hold an ample amount of salt with a smaller footprint than many salt shakes have. I like them a lot.
