Review on πŸ’§ Convenient and Universal Water Bottle Pump: Toproad USB Charging Electric Dispenser for 2-5 Gallon Bottles by Cory Miles

Revainrating 3 out of 5

No need for wasteful plastic water bottles!

My faucet tastes weird, I'm tired of using so many water bottles that it's difficult for me to recycle, and I tried a filter pitcher, but I was fed up , they constantly fill it and buy filters. I didn't want to buy a water cooler, so I bought this product so I can easily buy a 5 gallon jug (about as much as 40 packs of 16 ounce water bottles) that I can easily return to the store for recycling can! There were instructions but they were in a different language. No pumping water through tadpole/semen and water on the gadget. Put a pipe in a bottle and 60 inches? 60 minutes? 60 seconds? I couldn't understand the last part. It was pretty easy to figure out how to install - just attach the hose, glue the white thing to the top (at least I think that's what the white thing is for), insert the hose into the jar and the device slides easily onto that container lid. I was so excited for my first glass of water! I pressed the button (which is a touch rather than a physical button that can be toggled on and off) and the water flowed as expected, but pretty quickly too! My tiny cup filled up quickly! I tried touching the sensor to turn it off but it didn't work! The water kept flowing as I rushed to find more cups/pots/whatever to catch my precious liquid! I was able to stop him, catch my breath and try again. And the water flowed and flowed until it finally auto shut off (maybe the 60 in the instructions meant it auto shuts off after 60 seconds? If so, that's a VERY long time for the water to flow!) film on the Sensor, causing the device to not respond to my touch to turn it off. I removed the film and the same thing happened. Pour everywhere until it turns off automatically. My next thought was that maybe I should charge it - maybe it's low on power and therefore doesn't respond to my touch all the time? After charging it until the blue charge light went off, I tried again. It turned off at the first touch! I tried this over and over again, the sensor barely responded/slimmed down. I think if I touch the wrong spot to turn off the water or if the unit is just blotchy. I'd like to test this out a bit more, but if I'm wrong, that means more water everywhere! Overall it's a good tool and it's very smooth, I just wish it had a better response to my touch or the water auto shut off after 5 seconds. Or maybe I should have gone with a manual pump or a pump with a physical button.

Pros
  • Water Dispenser and Cooler
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others
