The white plastic part is cheaper compared to the 35 year old cheap chrome air gap I pulled from my apartment's enameled steel sink, but the top matches my new one perfectly Kohler faucet. . Easy to install; Simply connect the hoses and push them through the hole below, then hand tighten the plastic nut on top and put the cap on. The only odd thing is that the gasket comes from the bottom and not the top like the old one (otherwise the stainless steel cover wouldn't fit), so it doesn't seem to seal very well.
