The entire window assembly has already been fitted to a replacement pan that bolts directly to the inside of the driver's door making the job extremely easy. The only note, a small comment, is that VW rivets the speaker to the fairing right from the factory, we had to drill out 4 rivets and add small nuts and bolts to quickly and easily install it on the new fairing, but just be ready to do a little more work. . The whole project was quick and easy, and we didn't even have to make any adjustments for orientation or for the window to open and close fully.
