🚗 Front Left Driver Side Power Window Regulator for VW Beetle 1998-2010 Hatchback - Without Motor Review

Arrived on time safe and sound but turns out we were able to salvage the window clip on the current mechanism so I will either keep the new one or return it.

We have a 2010 VW New Beetle, after trying to fix the power window we realized we needed this part. It arrived very quickly, it's cheaper than Oreillys or junk yards as far as we could find and it fits perfectly. I'm attaching a photo of our car, but it's a 2010 New Beetle.

Received on time, fitted, made sure window was secure on track, worked about two days and window fell out, I came back to reset glass came out again, this time I noticed that one of the rubber pieces holding the jar fell off and disappeared. Lasted less than a year with minimal use. I put it on a car that I only use to commute to and from work. The air conditioning works, so I rarely roll down the window. After about 10 months it has to be replaced. Not a quality part at all and due to the pain involved installing these regulators I would strongly recommend a different brand and a higher quality seller.

The structure of this power window may fail. This is a design flaw. A replacement I bought from another supplier was replaced before the warranty expired. The replacement product soon failed. This one has connections more like the original, which at least will last longer than a defective replacement. The only downside I have is that the panel bent near the speaker during shipping. I fixed it by moving the hardware to the old panel.

The entire window assembly has already been fitted to a replacement pan that bolts directly to the inside of the driver's door making the job extremely easy. The only note, a small comment, is that VW rivets the speaker to the fairing right from the factory, we had to drill out 4 rivets and add small nuts and bolts to quickly and easily install it on the new fairing, but just be ready to do a little more work. .
