I bought them for the first time in 2019 and after 2 years I ordered the same ones because they worked perfectly. The new ones seem to have slightly different installation instructions and may work differently than the old ones. At first the elders told me to fill the filter from the tap as much as possible before installing it. This new guy didn't say it, so I didn't. However, it then started spitting up a lot, so I decided to go back and refill it from the tap so there was less air in the line. When I tried to take it out, pressure built up in the filter and it burst when I took it off. Therefore, I urge you to ALWAYS fill the filter from the tap prior to installation. The second difference I noticed is that when filling the filter from the tap, there was clearly some charcoal mixed with the water this time. Maybe it used to be like that, but I don't remember it being like that. This confirms to me that the filter does indeed use charcoal as it says. Don't worry, when the water came out of the fridge there was no trace of charcoal. I deducted one point because the instructions were incomplete this time. Otherwise if they continue to work like the ones I previously bought then 5 stars.
