This lens has been around for quite some time so I can't say much that hasn't already been written. My budget has always limited me to slower lenses. A slow lens and low light are a big problem. If you can't open the aperture to let in enough light, the shutter needs to be slower. This situation made some photos inaccessible to my equipment. No longer. The glass of this lens looks like it was stolen from an observatory. It's huge. It has some weight, but it's not as strenuous as you might think. It feels durable and well built. Either way, I'm willing to put up with a bit more weight for the potential this lens offers. If you want crisp images and bokeh, here's how to get it.
