Interesting, lights up 8 times while my LG MODISC is only designed for 6x. A tiny stand on the W10 8.5GB image, everything reads fine once installed. The socket was probably a partition between the boot sector and the rest is data, so I can't conclude it's a socket bug, it's an intentional split. I can't say much about the lifespan, let's see if it reads in 5 years. Good bang for your buck guys, don't waste your money on a DL DVD when you can get BR for 3x the space for 35% less.
