Flow rate many times faster than my old one (new 3 GPM). The water was whitish at first, but cleared up quickly. Before use, it is written that you need to let it run for 20 minutes. But the flow rate is so high that I only ran it for 10 minutes (30 gallons seemed enough), it was completely clean in less than 1 minute. The taste is good. I really appreciate the high flow rate. I had filters that were very slow. I have a filter under my sink, but I didn't use the plumbing (small hoses) that came with it. I installed my own 1/4 (I think) hoses and fittings. It was more work, but it was worth it in the end, especially with this filter.
