These filter materials really work and work well.

I have used these filter blocks before and they work very well. A well-functioning and well-maintained reverse osmosis system is absolutely essential to the maintenance of your reverse osmosis membranes. That will help. Get as low a TDS as possible before injecting membranes and they will last for years (3-5 years). With this and other micron media I get 0-2 TDS. No hard water or limescale deposits in coffee pots and kettles. No chemicals to drink.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can be damaged

This Indian made KX 06-250-10-GREEN model replaces the US made KX Matrikx 06-250-125-975 model. terrible taste and white sediment in the water. Even after spilling the water a few times to get rid of the bad taste, it still doesn't reach the quality of the old US-made version of the filter. DO NOT BUY THIS FILTER, you will not be satisfied with it.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Upgradeable

I have a pleasant taste of water

I think I used to buy this in a different shape and packaging but over the years I've lost the thread and started doing all kinds really to buy from filters do not work. I saw several reviews that this is an old KX Matrikx Pb1 06-250-125-975 that I've been using for a long time so I ordered it. This one works the same as the previous one. My water is clean and tastes fresh again. I'm glad to find it. Few things are as important as keeping my body hydrated. And there is no way I will buy bottled

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

not recommended best in water filtration and softeners

This filter was bought to replace an old one with a plastic sleeve. This 06-250-10-green filter is the first in a system of two filters, the second of which is a ceramic filter. After 10 days of use, the ceramic filter became clogged, resulting in very poor flow. The water tasted bad from the start and didn't get any better. After removing the ceramic filter, the outside was covered in a very, very fine gray coating. After cleaning the outside of the ceramic filter, the coating came off. To…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Works great, VERY high flow rate

Flow rate many times faster than my old one (new 3 GPM). The water was whitish at first, but cleared up quickly. Before use, it is written that you need to let it run for 20 minutes. But the flow rate is so high that I only ran it for 10 minutes (30 gallons seemed enough), it was completely clean in less than 1 minute. The taste is good. I really appreciate the high flow rate. I had filters that were very slow. I have a filter under my sink, but I didn't use the plumbing (small hoses) that came

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Terrible compared to older versions

Just tried this latest (and only) kx matrikx pb1 filter replacement. This thing is different from the original pb1 it replaced. I don't care where it's made. First replacement a few years ago, this one is made in the USA with a plastic mesh over the filter. 2nd replacement in 2016, still made in USA but slightly cheaper (no plastic grille). The latest version (now September 2018) is made in India. All previous PB1 filters behaved like Brita filters when new. Gives blackish water due to carbon…

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Something's wrong
