I bought it to replace my CX-300ii, and I did so in the hope that the more expensive model would produce a sound that I preferred more. Thus, there is not even one. When I first put my headphones on and turned the music on, I immediately had the impression that something was amiss. Even with the volume all the way up, there was hardly any audible sound. In comparison to my previous headphones, these have a higher resistance, and I was concerned that the phone might not be able to handle it. However, the situation has not changed on the computer or the audio system. On top of that, the sound is so repulsive that I was even shocked to discover that Schenheisers could produce such an unpleasant sound. When you listen to music at home, the low frequencies are seldom discernible, and when you're driving, you shouldn't even expect to hear anything at all. In order to hear anything at all using these headphones, you have to turn the volume to to its highest setting, which causes the tips to become intolerable at this point. It makes noises like squeaking and crackling, which makes you want to remove these plugs from your ears as quickly as possible. The noise isolation is only average. As was just stated, the handling of ambient noise is quite bad when the volume is turned up to its maximum. While I was looking for headphones, I was unable to discover any reviews for this model, so I decided to purchase them based on the assumption that Schenheisers are not known for producing negative effects. That is the method that they use. If they had a respectable sound, I could overlook some of the more insignificant faults, such as the case, the length of the wire, and the influence that walking has on the microphone; however, they do not. I don't believe that I made a purchase of a phony. The sound is the only component that does not appear to be of good quality, despite the presence of a hologram on the packaging and my purchase of the item from a prominent retail chain. I do not suggest! It is in your best interest to go with the CX-300ii because not only are they half the price but also offer a more pleasant sound. I am not going to pretend that I have "golden ears," but if you are thinking about purchasing this model, I strongly recommend that you try it out first.
