Last year I ordered some completely custom Riedell boots that form the basis of the Solaris model. I chose the colors of my skates to represent different family members and I wanted the laces to match my boots. I used to switch between silver, purple and teal laces. When I saw this color released I KNEW I had to have these as they matched perfectly. Not only is the color great, but they also hold up really well. The Solaris boots have a nylon strap through which you can thread the laces to give the boot a tighter fit around the ankle. Although I was concerned that the strap or laces would break due to the high level of friction between them, I haven't had any issues with it for over a year. I skate about 10 hours a week and travel all over the world with my skates so I feel they are holding up very well. I LOVE these laces!
