The rubber is about 1/6 inch thick. They did very well for Hand Jam in Yosemite. Compared to my friend's gloves, they're thicker, cheaper, and probably a lot more durable. If I held each finger while belaying multiple pitches, the rubber ended up causing hot spots on the back of my hand that got a little painful, but this can easily be avoided by releasing my main fingers while belaying to reduce unnecessary pressure. Small drawback, but worth it for the durability. Highly recommended.
