Reliable, cheap, but can create hotspots

The rubber is about 1/6 inch thick. They did very well for Hand Jam in Yosemite. Compared to my friend's gloves, they're thicker, cheaper, and probably a lot more durable. If I held each finger while belaying multiple pitches, the rubber ended up causing hot spots on the back of my hand that got a little painful, but this can easily be avoided by releasing my main fingers while belaying to reduce unnecessary pressure. Small drawback, but worth it for the durability. Highly recommended.

Expecting to climb a lot of cracks on a two week trip in the Sierras, I didn't want to break my arms for the first few days and suffer the rest of the trip. I've used homemade tape gloves in situations like this before, but decided to try the commercial version. I was looking for a product from another manufacturer that I had heard great reviews of but it wasn't available so I…
